“with hands to, i was involved in different ways of using sound. there were experiments with the idea of “emotional” sounds and how they may or may not affect the body/mind, projects using ideas that i found in the books of W.S. Burroughs and the soundwork of Eric Lunde, soundworks based on the destruction of audio equipment and recording devices, and other pieces based around a singular sound or action. in the beginning, i was using a cheap sampler and tape loops, all recorded in “real time” (no 4 track). after about 1991, the works were mostly based around field recordings.”
